One connected hierarchy, from vision to feature

Jadeed models how product organizations actually work: a company vision, portfolios of related products, the products themselves, and the features that get built. Each level knows about the ones above it.

Four levels, one document each

Every level has its own purpose and its own generated document, and each one is written with the levels above it in mind.

Vision

The organization's strategic guardrail, written once. It applies to everything beneath it and is always visible across the organization.

Portfolio

A group of related products with its own definition document. It inherits the vision.

Product

A software product with full requirements, generated from the conversation you have about it.

Feature

A scoped slice of a product, with self-contained requirements built from the product's context plus the scope you define.

Context

Context flows down, so nobody starts from scratch

A portfolio inherits the vision. A product inherits its portfolio and the vision. A feature inherits its product and the vision. The documents Jadeed writes reflect all of it.

  • Edit the context at any level, with access controls and a version history
  • Downstream documents are flagged when the context above them changes
  • Where a portfolio doesn't exist, a product inherits the vision directly

The feature document is written from all four, so it agrees with everything above it.

Alignment

Misalignment is flagged, not buried

When something drifts from the vision or overlaps another team's scope, Jadeed says so. It warns and records it, and then lets the work proceed. Nothing is hard-blocked, and nothing is silent.

  • Warnings appear in the flow of the conversation
  • Every warning is recorded for later review
  • Leaders see where the organization is pulling apart

Two warnings recorded. Work can proceed, and both are logged for review.

Conversation

Build the breakdown by talking it through

At the product level, a product manager describes the features in plain language. Jadeed creates the records and writes each feature's requirements as the conversation goes, with no separate approve-then-execute step.

For everything that doesn't belong in the hierarchy, such as tech debt and one-off work, there are standalone tasks that carry no inherited context.

Product conversation
We need self-serve onboarding for new teams, with an invite flow and a first-run checklist.
Got it. I'll add an Onboarding feature under this product and draft its requirements from the product context.
Include role setup for admins.
